Easy Elm Remote Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
Easy Elm Remote (by Easy Elm) turns your Android phone into a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Easy Elm does not collect, store, sell, or share your personal data.
What the app does not do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No ads, analytics, or tracking.
- The app sends nothing about you, your typing, or your computer to Easy Elm.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Pro purchases and subscriptions are handled by Google Play. Easy Elm does not see or store your payment details. The app asks Google Play whether you own Pro, and remembers the answer on your phone so Pro works offline. The 7-day free Pro trial runs on your phone and needs no sign-up or card.
The app has no internet permission of its own. The Google Play Billing Library it uses adds internet and network-state permissions so it can talk to Google Play and send its own diagnostic logs to Google. Google handles that information under the Google Privacy Policy.
Permissions and why they’re needed
- Bluetooth (connect / advertise): to pair with and connect to your own computer, and to send the mouse movements and keys you press. These go straight to your paired computer over Bluetooth.
- Microphone: only while you tap the mic button for voice typing. The app passes the audio to your phone’s built-in speech recognition service (for example, Google’s), which turns it into text. Easy Elm Remote does not record, save, or send audio itself. The speech service may process audio under its own privacy policy, on the phone or online depending on your phone’s settings.
- Notifications / foreground service: shows the “connected” notification so the Bluetooth link stays on while the screen is off, and reminds you before your free Pro week ends.
- Vibration: a small buzz when you press keys or use gestures.
- Wake lock: keeps the connection working while the app is in use.
Data stored on your phone
The app keeps your settings (theme, sizes, saved computer names and Bluetooth addresses), your Pro status, and the free-trial dates only in its private storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes them. App backups are turned off.
Children
Easy Elm collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
